The Model 152 Mult-EChem Half-Cell Module provides space for eight user designated electrochemical half-cells. These cells are couples by small channels to a central aqueous salt bridge contained in a polyethylene barrier. The barrier's 20-60 micron pores prevents mixing of the metal ion solutions while still providing adequate motion of ions to maintain a stable cell potential. Mult-EChem's unique design provides three distinct advantages over more common filter paper half cells:
  1. Connection of 28 unique half-cell pairs is easily done and clearly visualized
  2. The salt bridge remains intact for long periods of time and holds extremely stable cell voltages

  3. The polypropylene body is rugged and chemically resistant. Non-skid feet hold it firmly in place on the lab bench
